• Playlist Data: Songs you save to your personal playlists.
• Listening History: Your last 50 played songs to avoid repetition.
• Rate Limiting Data: Your user ID or IP address, the API endpoint accessed, and timestamps are temporarily stored to prevent abuse and ensure fair usage of our services. This data is automatically deleted after one hour.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to sign in with Google, in which case we receive your Google profile information (name, email, profile picture).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate personalized AI-powered song recommendations based on your era and location.
• Save and sync your playlists and listening history across devices.
• Track your search usage for the free tier (5 free searches).
• Improve our AI recommendation algorithms.
• Provide customer support when needed.

Third-Party Services

Musical Memories uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI: We send your birth year, country, city, and language preferences to Google's Gemini AI to generate song recommendations. Google's privacy policy applies to this data processing.
• YouTube API Services: This application uses YouTube API Services to search for and play songs within the app. By using Musical Memories, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Please review Google's Privacy Policy to understand how Google handles your data.
• Google Analytics 4: We use GA4 to collect anonymous usage data to understand how users interact with our app. This includes app opens, feature usage, and general engagement metrics. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.
• Supabase: We use Supabase for user authentication and data storage. Your data is stored securely in Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
• Google Play / Apple App Store: For subscription management and in-app purchases.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in the following ways:

• Local Storage: Preferences, cached song data, and offline playlists are stored locally on your device.
• Cloud Storage: When signed in, your playlists, history, and subscription status are stored securely in our Supabase cloud database with encryption at rest.

Musical Memories is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

This app is designed for elderly users to rediscover music from their past, and our primary user base is adults over 50.
